About Better Together

Better Together Music Society, formerly The Braille Tones Music Society, is an inclusive choir community for singers with disabilities and neurodiversities from Edmonton, Alberta. The choir was founded in 1996 by Scott Leithead, artistic director of the Korora Choir Association. Our mission is to empower individuals of varying abilities to pursue professional instruction in music through our choirs and lesson subsidies, without significant cost to these individuals, in an inclusive and fun atmosphere.

Why the Name Change?

While we have loved being TheBraille Tones, this name no longer includes the diverse disabilities and neurodiversities experienced by members of the choir. Better Together reflects our belief that when we come together to make music, we become stronger, happier, and more creative - together.
